About RíomhaireTech

RíomhaireTech: providing a platform for students to aquire life-long computer skills.

Alan Ryan (BBS., Dip. IT) qualified with a degree in Services Marketing before subsequently attaining a Teaching Diploma in I.T. Alan established himself as part of an ETB team in Kildare providing group and individual adult computer tutoring sessions.

RíomhaireTech was established to solve a recurring problem, of young people seeking help with creating word processing documents and presentations as part of their school work. Alan believes technology has a major part to play in the lives of young people both in school and at home. “However, the key is not to depend solely on technology as your educator and entertainer. It is important for young people to have balance in their lives where they can develop through a multitude of platforms including school education, sports, music, and other hobbies integrating a certain amount of technology to harness growth and learning".

RíomhaireTech is now established in several schools across Laois, Kildare, Offaly, Tipperary, Carlow and Galway.
