"RíomhaireTech bridges the gap between primary and secondary education in the area of computer technology".
In today’s technological environment, students are familiar with using computers, tablets, and phones to access the internet for gaming, research and social media. There is an underlying expectation that students have the skills to use basic computing programs such as word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, when entering second level education to complete assignments and project work.
In general students have little or no previous experience or knowledge of such programs.
RÃomhaireTech bridges the gap between primary and secondary education in the area of computer technology by providing these necessary skills in a structured way to primary school students. It is these skills which give the students the knowledge and confidence to complete their schoolwork through using computers.
